I am very passionate about math and finding ways to convey mathematical concepts easily to others who may or may not share my passion. I have been helping people with their struggles in math since I was a high school student. My experience ranges from tutoring high school courses through college courses in algebra, calculus and statistics.
Along with my tutoring experiences, I also am a certified New York City Math teacher with three years experience. I have worked best in the past with those students motivated to do well academically and have had success as well with students less academically inclined.
Tennis is another passion of mine. I have been teaching Tennis throughout the Bronx for ten years and have gone through the Professional Tennis Registry certification process. I have taught Tennis to people of all ages through the two major Tennis programs running in NYC, the New York Junior Tennis League and City Parks Foundation.
My approach to teaching, whether Math or Tennis, is getting to know those that I teach. I feel that a better understanding of the individual will lead to a best approach to teaching that person. There is no "cookie cutter" approach to teaching and I have been teaching long enough to realize this and be able to vary my own teaching technique according to those I am working with.
I look forward to getting to know you and helping with any of your mathematical troubles.
