Hi, I am Joy! I am an author, and professor of Writing and Public Speaking at Eastern University and Hussian School of Art. Teaching and writing are my passions. My approach and methods when tutoring include keeping learning simple, being patient, and having fun. Life is much too short to not enjoy every possible moment.

MY PROFESSOR SIDE: I care deeply about people and consider the development of writing and communication skills as essential for all people, regardless of career choice, field or industry.

MY CREATIVE SIDE: Whatever your age, I believe everyone has a "story" to share with the world. Therefore, it is vital to teach the art of communication in order for people to learn how to clearly and creatively express themselves.

MY ENTREPRENEUR SIDE: I have the unique privilege of owning a business that has as its chief goal: To dare people to live a great life! My teaching, writing, (and even conversations with strangers) usually has to do with helping people to discover and embrace their authentic purpose - and to live it passionately.

If you are feeling a bit stressed with trying to prepare an essay or tense about an upcoming speaking opportunity, relax. Really! Here are a few tips to decrease your stress level.

1 - Laugh! Watch something funny on YouTube, or read a silly joke book.

2 - Drink a glass of juice. Vitamin C really helps.

3 - Listen to music that calms you.

4 - Do some breathing exercises to help you relax.

5 - Daydream of things that make you happy.

I look forward to having great tutoring sessions with you soon!

Hi Tony! You could always get a study guide to give yourself a headstart. The Calculus for Dummies book is a good one.
