Greetings!

I'm Hollie Allen, owner and tutor for Gearbox Tutoring in Portland, Oregon. I have over ten years of experience tutoring, and I have worked with everyone, from elementary school students to adults.

My specialties are mathematics and Spanish, but I also offer general study skills, including improved essay writing, preparing for oral presentations, and developing good study habits.

I have college degrees in both Math and Spanish, and I have lived and studied in Barcelona, Spain for three years.

I'm very good at breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces. My goal is to make the material engaging, especially in math, and I have an excellent track record with math-phobic students. I have also worked successfully with students with learning disabilities such as ADHD, Asperger's syndrome and dyslexia.

My rates are flexible depending on the student's needs and level. Please contact me, or visit my web site for more information: https://sites.google.com/site/gearboxtutoring
