Special Needs: ?
I enjoy teaching and assisting students who need that additional assistance to achieve their goal. I have a learning disability, which has allowed me to emphasize with students who are having difficulty with learning. I graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with double Masters degrees in Reading and Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
I have been working in the New York Public School system for the past seven years with students in a variety of elementary settings. I enjoy seeing students thrive while they learn; however, I also like to challenge students to do their best.
I have tutored students from a variety of grades. In addition, I have tutored students (with success) who have had difficulties in writing and reading. I am dedicated to students success and realize that not all students will learn at the same pace. Therefore it is important to ensure that I identify students strengths and develop a program that will improve any area of weakness.
