If you want to help your child learn to love literature and writing, build their self-confidence, and have fun while doing it, I'm your tutor! With over 6 years of experience working with students in small groups and 1-to-1 settings, I have a knack for building personal connections, creating specialized learning plans, and really "getting" each kid where they are, and bringing him/her up to their next level. And I love doing it!

Some other things you may want to know about me are the following.

*My first job was as a professional clown. (I can also teach juggling and magic.)

*I am a professionally published, and prize-winning poet. Recently one of my poems was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. (I'm so ecstatic! It's like the Oscars of poetry!)

*I teach poetry to Jr./High School students on the weekends at Beyond Baroque in Venice. They get no class credit for this, and yet they keep coming back. They must be having fun!

*I have over 5 years of experience working with students who have special challenges, such as Aspergers, Autism, Dyslexia, etc. I not only help them learn in a new way, but also help them build their self-esteem while doing it!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm all ears.
