The key to my tutoring approach is patience. I will take the time necessary to ensure that you understand the material before we move on, and if you don't understand it, then I'll find a different way to explain it. It is very important to have a solid foundation before we build upon it. Second, I find that humor and passion are essential to motivating a person to want to learn. I tutored History at SMC, and taught children guitar for several years. I am currently a member of the Los Angeles Buddhist/Catholic Dialogue. I spend much time on a philosophy forum on the internet called the Partially Examined Life. I also took jazz lessons all throughout my childhood, and I play modern rock guitar.
