Hello, my name is Emily, I'm 21 years old, and I am a current third-year student at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I will be graduating in 2014 with a degree in history and a minor in art history. Though I'm not majoring in English, I am highly proficient in the subject. My poetry has been published in the Agnes Scott College Literary Magazine, Aurora, and I have attended two summer writing seminars at Texas State University. I have taken three college level English courses (two literature courses and one poetry course). As an aspiring historian, I understand the importance of writing succinctly, and I have experience writing lengthy college essays. I have worked in childcare for over two years, so I know how to get on a child's level and how to make learning fun and interesting to kids of all ages. I am an expert in all areas of the English language, including grammar, literature, writing and reading.
