My experience tutoring and teaching at the high school and college level, and in a variety of different settings, with many different types of students, has molded how I approach teaching science and math. I take great pride in being able to explain a complicated topic several different ways so that a student is able to understand. Part of this is being able to show the applicability of what the student is learning with the world around them. I like to be able to take seemingly abstract and conceptual topics and show how it is important in real life. In my experience, approaching tutoring and teaching in this way, along with using many examples, is most effective for helping students with math and science. In addition to how I approach tutoring/teaching, I am very excited about learning and teaching math and science, and am even more so when I can get others just as excited about these subjects.
