I myself love to learn and I do that best when I help other people when they are stuck in trying to understand something. I have been a tutor with the AVID program for a year in various middle schools and high schools so I understand that it can be frustrating for students to get the kind of help that they need when tutors haven't been in the actual school system for a while and aren't clear with the learning that goes on in schools. Schools sometimes fail to understand that each student needs an individualized path to success that may be different than how other classmates are learning. I love to help middle and high school students recognize their potential to succeed and I love helping them realize that learning can be fun if you make it relate to you and put yourself in the picture! I enjoy helping people figure out that motivation is a powerful learning tool and can really propel you into a successful future.
