I spent 15 years in the classroom teaching Special Education students. I taught in self-contained classrooms both in middle and high school. I taught in two alternative schools, one for high school students and the other for middle school students, both self-contained classrooms. I taught ESE English in middle school as well as ESE English/Reading in high school. I prepared high school students for the FCAT Reading. I was a high school baseball coach on the high school level for 17 years as well as a high school track and field coach for 9 years. My tutoring approach and teaching methods are that I take my time with my students and go over the material they are supposed to learn to help them understand what it is and to help them be successful and succeed in school.
