Hello!
My name is Leah. I am 24 years old and I live in Central Los Angeles. I received my CELTA certification in January of 2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Afterward, I spent 6 months teaching abroad in Brazil. Now I live and work in Los Angeles. Although I specialize in working with Brazilian Portuguese speakers, I am also proficient in Spanish and I strive to work with all different cultures and languages.
My teaching style is student centered. This means that I try to get the student to speak as much as possible and cut down on the amount of the time that the teacher talks throughout the lesson. I try to make each lesson as interesting and student specific as possible. Student feedback is welcome!
I also have experience working with adults and children with special needs.
