My name is Xuyan S. and I came from Qingdao, China. I have two master degrees in Business Administration and Public Health from University of Northern Iowa and Loma Linda University, respectively. I have completed the calculus series (single and multi-variable) , as well as Linear Algebra as a requirement for my MBA degree and received all A's. In addition, I have finished all the pre-requisite science courses for medical school admission (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry) with straight A's while receiving my master degree in Public Health.
I had worked as a tutor for the Mathematics Department when I was a student at the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. I have taught high school students from general San Barnadino area and helped them to understand math, chemistry, and physics). I am at ease working with individual student or tutoring as a group, and I know how to explain difficult concepts to students in the way they understand it. Patience and long-suffering are my top virtues when it comes to tutoring, and I would like to pass on what I know to those needing help in math and science.
