My specialities are in the fields of music and history. I have played guitar for nine years and mandolin for six. I was employed at a music studio for almost two years (I had to leave to attend college) teaching guitar. I have also done private guitar lessons at my home and the students home in the past.

During college I studied history. My main interest was U.S. labor history, social movements, and urban history. I also have knowledge in Russia/Soviet Union, German, and Modern Middle East History. During college I worked as a First Year Experience (FYE) Peer Mentor. FYE, was a program instituted by the university to better acclimate first year students. My duties were to schedule and lead study sessions for the midterm and final exam and to choose co-curricular activities for students to attend a write a response paper on them. Co-curricular events I choose were documentary films, panel discussions dealing with history, talks done by social awareness groups such as Students Against Slavery, and guest speakers who I felt were relevant to the class topics and also entertaining.
