Hi, I'm Corie B and I feel really terrific about sharing my expertise in mathematics with students of all individual needs. I graduated from Hunter College with a Degree in Mathematics and went on to study Mathematics as it relates to Education. I received my MSEd from Richmond College and began my teaching career. I believe what sets me apart from all other professionals in my field is my diversified background as an educator. With over 29 years of hands-on successful teaching, tutoring, coaching, and mentoring, both students and teachers, I feel that I am exactly the kind of tutor you need to stay motivated and focused. Learning always takes place when a student is present with the work. I have consistently trained my students to succeed in mathematics as a result of my understanding of the teaching-learning process, I teach for understanding, using instructional tools and technology, when applicable, to meet the need of multiple intelligences. My self-motivation, multi-tasking skills, dynamic personality along with proficiency in a wide variety of math courses and age levels, is what enables me to significantly contribute to your educational needs.

I have come to understand that the method of discussion, rather than lecturing or dictating, is a highly beneficial style of teaching. When students construct their own learning experiences, they will not only understand the material, but will remember it.
