I have been in music my whole life, studying varied genres from Musical Theatre, to Opera, to Pop, Jazz, and Contemporary A Cappella. I learned from a young age about the importance of having an inspiring teacher, quitting from my first piano teacher when he was 8 years old because she would only let me play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for two months straight, exiting the relationship by playing it with my feet. Since then I have gone on to teach all different styles of voice and piano, graduating from Chapman University Conservatory of Music with a BM in Music Education. I have worked as a vocalist in several choirs, studio recording ensembles, and contemporary a cappella groups (for which I have also arranged). As an orchestrator, I had the privilege of working with Tony Award-winning producer, Tim Kashani, orchestrating new musicals headed for Broadway. I additionally work as a composer for concert as well as film, several of my films being featured at the LA International Women's Film Festival, American Artist Film Festival, Poppy Jasper Short Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Movie Awards.

My teaching philosophy is to have a fun, creative, challenging, and safe environment for my students. I aim to make my students well-rounded musicians, incorporating theory and musicianship practice into all of my lessons. I allow students to choose their own repertoire, but also encourage them to branch out into other genres and styles, to challenge themselves and grow. I also work with the students on discovering new things about each piece, from Baroque to Contemporary Pop and everything in between. My lessons are not just about technique and notes, but about creating and realizing music and art. I want to inspire my students not only to become great musicians but to be creative, take ownership, and add their own personality into the music.
