My name is David Taylor. I have a B.S. in chemistry. I would describe myself as being caring, respectful, and responsible. I am driven by competition, meaning I strive to be the best at everything I do even things like tutoring. First, I have been tutoring classmates since I have been in school. Developing simpler methods is a specialty of mine especially since I had to tutor students with disabilities at Texas Southern University. I believe this is one of the most important qualities a tutor should have because it requires patience. Secondly, I can keep the student interested. In order to keep students interested, I am able to make learning fun by adding fun competition such as putting time limits on problems or allowing the student to TRY and beat me at doing certain problems. I believe competition brings the best out of students. Lastly, I am able to encourage the students by motivating them by saying things like you can do it or keep trying. This is the most important because it gives the student hope.
