From the laid back simplicity of Denver CO to the chaotic stampede of Chicago IL, I have spent the past 6 years deeply immersed into the fine arts and the painted word. Studying under disciples of minor white (Angela Faris-Belt, fine art) as well as Chicago’s Elizabeth Ernst (photographer, painter; represented by Catherine Edelman Gallery) and Jim DeRogatis (Music Critic, Sun Times, Rolling Stone) I strive to pass along the knowledge so graciously been bestowed upon me.

I have felt that anxiety and frustration encompassed in the creation and intent of art and even more so in written word and the production of uneventful essays; inevitably it leads to debilitating levels that drown any motivation left. What I have found that has greatly benefited others as well as myself is that no matter what the topic is you have to make it pleasurable for you, there has to be some fun. Whether that is finding a way to relate it to personal experience and enjoyment or inviting the essence of risk there must be a way for passion of some degree to emerge. It’s about keeping the integrity and professionalism yet still pushing the boundaries of your comfort zone. Stay positive, have patience, be persistent and all will work out.
