Hello, my name is Eric and I am an 18 -Year old who is currently taking a gap-year between High School and College. I was originally planning on attending Emory University, but chose to defer in order to follow my passions of writing and helping others across New York City.

I'm a friendly individual who is patient, understanding, and flexible, but also like to try to help students learn on their own as a tutor. My approach is to act as more of a mediator, explaining how one would get a certain result, why one would choose to use this formula as opposed to another, etc. so that the student can take this knowledge in and apply it themselves.

I am a strong out-of-the-box thinker, and graduated with primarily A-'s in all my courses. I also know that this is a hectic culture that can hinder proper studying behaviors, and I love to help students learn about better ways to study in their own context.

Since every student is different, I like to get to know the student first on a more basic level, figuring out where the real academic "challenges" are that may be preventing their best work possible. I do not see education as a one-size-fits-all concept at all, and believe every student must be treated as the individual they are. We all have our own unique qualities, strengths, and weaknesses, and I take all of these into account when tutoring a new student.
