I'm an experienced teacher with an engaging but professional manner and a good record of helping students improve specific skills. I've taught in both public and private schools abroad in Japan and France as well as stateside in Chicago. My strong subjects include ESL (including the TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS tests), English literature, essay writing, French, and literacy, but I can also tutor a variety of general subjects for a K-6 or middle school student.

Most recently in my teaching career of 5+ years I've been working with high school students, university students, and adults, but I have worked extensively with children and do enjoy it as well.
