Prior to attending college, I studied acting, trained in voice, and performed in musical theatres in South Carolina. There, I also received advanced vocal and choral training from well known professional conductors, and performed in auditoriums and toured and recorded with celebrated choral ensembles. Following my college education, I performed in various NYC clubs and theatres with many vocal R&B/Pop vocal groups which I directed. My professional career as a songwriter and music studio producer began with an international recording artist named ADEVA, in 1996. As a songwriter and music publisher member, I joined ASCAP and the Harry Fox Agency for royalty payments when my first published song, "Been Around" was released. As an independent record producer and record label owner, I have coached, recorded, produced, and developed many talented performing artists who now have very successful entertainment careers. I have also instructed students of all ages at the prestigious Soumas Heritage School of Music, in New Jersey, and donated a complete recording studio to their academy. In South Carolina, I opened and operated two commercial recording studios, and conducted a talent competition with a local television station and awarded the winning talent a professional CD release. My experience as a songwriter even included protecting my intellectual property rights and appearing on national TV shows, Hard Copy and Court TV. Additionally, my ability to train others was recognized and utilized in the hotel industry as the staff development coordinator for new employees, then, as a NYC concierge, prior vocal diction training and languages proved extremely valuable in corporate hospitality. I began tutoring my nine year old son when he was diagnosed with ADHD, and my dedication and patience has effectively improved his academic abilities. Now, I am eager and excited to share my wisdom and experience with a broader community as a whole for the success and achievement of others.
