I am 25 years old and have spent my time since college working in education. Much of this experience has been either in the classroom or with individual students. Having recently moved to New York, I am eager to begin working in this field again. Educating of any sort is truly my passion.

Prior to moving to New York I worked at an educational non-profit in Minnesota. Concurrently, I was employed as a part-time tutor for Club Z Tutoring Services. During my time there I was responsible for devising creative lesson plans and activities for students ranging in age from 6 to 17. This experience allowed me the freedom to innovate based on individual students’ needs and interests, something I believe is valuable for any age.

For most of 2011 I taught English in Daegu, Korea. Here, too, I was asked to develop a full curriculum for students between the ages of 4 and 18. Using various forms of media and activities, I led several nationally recognized English programs during my year there.

I am a very outgoing and energetic person. This is vital for any activity with students. They need different outlets and sources for their education. I love to use music, art, film, sports and games to enhance and facilitate this process. The instant when a new idea or concept suddenly clicks is what drives me as an educator and what leads me to believe I will make it my lifelong career.
