I have been a Spanish, English and ESL tutor for over 17 years. My students include pre-K through 12, university undergraduates students and business executives.
I obtained a bachelors degree in Spanish and International Relations, Master's degree in Spanish, and I am presently completing doctoral studies in intercultural communication and culture with an emphasis on intercultural communication and sociolinguistics.
Teaching is a privileged and humbling profession. I am cognizant that an essential element of teaching, besides imparting knowledge, is motivating students. My personal style of teaching brings enthusiasm into the classroom. I teach or tutor with a contagious smile, an open personality and a caring and patient spirit.
I have also learned to recognize the importance of self-reflexivity, and to be flexible with my methodology and approach to teaching and tutoring.
