I tutor kids between elementary and high school with Chemistry, Math, and English. I am constantly interacting with the children by relating to them on a personal level and still maintaining the position of an instructor. I constantly try to work within my client’s field of understanding, and use examples that I know they can relate with or understand. As much as we are productive, we also joke and have fun. I believe tutoring should be both entertaining and educational and I provide that to my students to the best of my ability. I am empathetic to my client’s successes and failures because as a tutor I feel partially responsible for their understanding. As of now I am currently working Monday through Thursdays afternoon (earliest 3) till evening (latest 10).
My schedules are flexible and can work during weekdays morning, weekends all day, and holidays. I always try and work with my students and will stay overtime, if they feel they do not understand their school material. My students’ success is my first priority and I make sure they understand the materials and concepts as opposed to simply memorizing. I am open to tutoring both open groups and individually.
I am the oldest of 3 siblings, so I understand the first thing about responsibility and cooperation. I cook meals for my sisters and brother, help them with their homework and studies, and consult them about their personal problems. It is generally known amongst my friends that I am the type to listen to their problems and to provide comfort and advices that encourages them to make reasonable decisions.
As for hobbies and other leisure activities, I love taking pictures, doodling, reading, writing stories, playing video games, sort of a coffee snob, tea snob (I brew my own tea), hiking, cooking, bike riding, and traveling.
