Having so recently been a student myself, I know better than most what kids are in for these days. The teachers I had as a kid failed me. They taught me what to think, but not HOW to think or see or critically analyze. When I hit college, I was forced to up my game and adapt quickly, and it cost me.

No student of mine will ever be able to say the same about me as I said of my own teachers leading up to college.

My greatest tool is Empathy. Having worked at Game Stop for the longest, communications skills, like empathy, became my bread and butter. Knowledge is useless if a student can't see how or why they should apply it to their own lives in the real world. I will make it much easier and more natural to do so.
