About Ventura, CA
The city of Ventura is a major city in Ventura County, California, with 106,744 residents. Located on the Pacific Ocean and the Harbor of Ventura, the city is well known for its picturesque landscape. The name of the city of Ventura is actually an abbreviation – the fully name of the city is San Buenaventura. While Ventura was incorporated as a city in 1886, the city’s history is much older. The first settlement in Ventura was a Roman Catholic mission called Mission San Buenaventura, founded by a priest named Farther Junipero Serra. As settlers came to the area after the Civil War, the city began to take shape and was eventually incorporated as an official city. The city saw significant growth and economic expansion as a result of rich oil fields that were discovered in the region. Due to its proximity to the Ventura and Santa Clara Rivers – the city lies between them both – the region of Ventura is also quite fertile and lent itself to a rich agricultural area as well.
Some of the towns and cities that surround the city of Ventura include: El Rio, Oxnard, Camarillo, Newbury Park, Port Hueneme, Fillmore, Ojai, Mira Monte, Oak View, Casitas Springs, Mira Monte, Carpinteria, and Wheeler Springs.

About Trigonometry
The subject of trigonometry is one of the fundamental study fields within the subject of mathematics. Many high schools begin teaching trigonometry at the high school level, however college-level trigonometry is also usually offered at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe. Trigonometry is the branch of mathematics that deals specifically with the sides and angles of triangles and with trigonometric functions, which describe the relationship between these aspects of triangles. While trigonometry is considered to be a part of “pure mathematics,” which is comprised of abstract and theoretical mathematical disciplines, trigonometry is also an applied science as well. Although the subject deals exclusively with triangles, the use of triangles in engineering, measuring, navigation, astronomy, and other quantitative applications is quite pervasive. In addition, trigonometry is closely related to calculus, and many students choose to study it at the college level prior to entering calculus.
Some of the specific areas of trigonometry that are typically taught include: ratios, sine, hypotenuse, tangent, cosine, cosecant, secant, reciprocals, inverse functions, trigonometric identities, and the law of sines. While these topics are typically taught in trigonometry classes, many students find it to be advantageous to work one-on-one with a trigonometry tutor as well.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in trigonometry, our tutors can assist you.
