The city began to take on a celebrity status in the late 1930s when famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright began to spend his winters there at his home and exclusive school, Taliesin West. Because of his residence and influence, much of the city architecture reflects his iconoclastic style. Now, the city is the sixth largest in Arizona, with a population of 240,410. It is known to have a high quality of living and was even named “Most Livable City” in 1993.

About Middle School Gifted

Gifted students are defined as children whose academic and intellectual abilities are enhanced beyond their own physical years.
