About GED Test

The General Education Development Exam, or GED as it is commonly referred to, is a group of five distinct tests that are used to evaluate and certify that an American or Canadian test taker has achieved a high school-level of academic skills. In order for GED test takers to pass the test, they must score above 40% of graduating high school seniors nationwide. The exam is designed for individuals who did not complete high school and are too old to finish their education there. The test can be administered in English, Spanish, French, in large print, audio, and Braille, and is commonly offered in prisons and military bases.
