In America, Spanish has become one of the most taught languages in schools, mainly due to the fact that the United States is in close proximity to the Spanish speaking country of Mexico, as well as the fact that Spanish-speaking minorities are the fastest-growing minorities in America.
The Spanish language uses the same type of Latin alphabet as English, and the two languages share some similar words in their vocabularies.
