About Los Angeles, CA
No city in the United States better represents the unique culture and lifestyle of the west coast than the sprawling, majestic city of Los Angeles. Spanish for “The City of Angels,” Los Angeles is home to over 3.5 million people, and yet you’ll never find a more relaxed, parochial metropolis in the world than Los Angeles. Similar to New York City, Los Angeles is a city comprised of many neighbourhoods, all of which have their own specific identity. But unlike New York, Los Angeles comprises a huge area, stretching over 450 square miles in size. The expansiveness of Los Angeles allows for a diverse natural landscape. Sandy, pearl-white beaches mark one end of the city and provocative plateaus. This beach culture of Los Angeles, personified by towns like Malibu and Venice Beach, seem like a world apart compared to the communities that skirt the Santa Monica Mountains, such as the famed Beverley Hills, home to the stars, as well as Hollywood and Silver lake. Neighborhoods like Eagle Rock, on the other hand, still retain the desert charm that harkens back to the now urbanized San Fernando Valley that the city is built upon.
The surrounding cities and communities near Los Angeles also reflect the lifestyle and culture of this great city. Cities like Anaheim, San Bernadino, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Costa Mesa, Oceanside, Corona, Hesperia, Victorville, Santa Clarita, Palmdale, and even San Diego all bask in the magic glow of Los Angeles. There is an aura of glitz and glamor that seems to prevail throughout Los Angeles and all of its surrounding neighborhoods and cities that will make you feel like a star.

About Arabic
The language of Arabic is the largest Semitic language spoken in the world today. Arabic is closely related to other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and Aramaic, and is also very similar to Classical Arabic, which dates back thousands of years. While Arabic is considered to be a macrolanguage and contains 27 different sub-languages that relate to one another, many people throughout the Arabic world speak a form of Standard Arabic, which can generally be understood by native speakers of other Arabic dialects. Typically it is Standard Arabic that students learn as a second language.
Unlike most European languages, which use the same alphabet and language symbols as English, Arabic uses an entirely different alphabet. In fact, the Arabic alphabet is more like a form of calligraphy, similar to the language symbols used in Asian languages. Unlike western languages, Arabic never writes vowels in their words – vowels are merely implied by the consonants of the words. In addition to having to master this new form of the written language, students of Arabic must also learn vocabulary, phonology and pronunciation, numerals, grammar, cases, conjugation, gender agreement, pronouns, adjectives, and other forms of the language. In order to master these elements, a tutor of Arabic can be a tremendous asset to someone who wishes to master the language of Arabic.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in Arabic, our tutors can assist you. Our professional tutors have advanced degrees or extensive training in Arabic and can tutor and help in subject areas such as vocabulary, phonology and pronunciation, numerals, grammar, cases, conjugation, gender agreement, pronouns, and adjectives.
