About High School Calculus

The subject of calculus is one of the most intensive and advanced math subjects taught in mathematics departments at the high school level. Although most college preparatory-track students take pre-calculus at the end of their high school career, true calculus is usually not studied to its full extent until one reaches college, since it is considered to be one of the most sophisticated and complex branches of mathematics. Calculus is the study of derivatives, limits, integrals, and infinite series, or, in simpler terms, it is the study of change, just as geometry is the study of space.
