About Henderson, NV
It isn’t surprising that the city of Henderson, Nevada, one of the top 100 most populated cities in the United States, is located in close proximity to Las Vegas. After all, Las Vegas is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Nation, and its fast expansion and growth is also leading to the growth of suburban communities around it such as Henderson.
Known as “the place to call home,” Henderson is a residential community. Many of its residents work in the tourism and entertainment industry and commute to Las Vegas. The community itself is located on the edge of the Las Vegas metropolitan area, with the low, gentle slopes of the Mccullough Mountain Range rising up not too far in the distance. Its volcanic black rocks, a product of a huge volcanic explosion that occurred millions of years ago, provides a sharp, beautiful visual contrast to the dusty, desert-like landscape surrounding Las Vegas. With the exception of a mostly dry riverbed called Duck Creek, Henderson is built on an arid, waterless expanse of land.
All in all, the city of Henderson is quite new, having just celebrated its 50th anniversary. The fact that it is now ranked as the 88th largest city in the United States based on population is a testament to the amazing, overnight growth of Las Vegas.
Although the city supports the entertainment industry, it began as a defense city during World War II, specializing in using the metal known as “Magnesium.” Its Basic Magnesium Plant manufactured munitions and airplane parts during the war.
Some of the neighborhoods in Henderson include: Anthem, Calico Ridge, Green Valley, and Inspirada among others. Surrounding cities and towns include: East Las Vegas, Enterprise, Paradise, Las Vegas, Spring Valley, Blue Diamond, Mountain Springs, Arden, Sloan, and Boulder City.

About Trigonometry
The subject of trigonometry is one of the fundamental study fields within the subject of mathematics. Many high schools begin teaching trigonometry at the high school level, however college-level trigonometry is also usually offered at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe. Trigonometry is the branch of mathematics that deals specifically with the sides and angles of triangles and with trigonometric functions, which describe the relationship between these aspects of triangles. While trigonometry is considered to be a part of “pure mathematics,” which is comprised of abstract and theoretical mathematical disciplines, trigonometry is also an applied science as well. Although the subject deals exclusively with triangles, the use of triangles in engineering, measuring, navigation, astronomy, and other quantitative applications is quite pervasive. In addition, trigonometry is closely related to calculus, and many students choose to study it at the college level prior to entering calculus.
Some of the specific areas of trigonometry that are typically taught include: ratios, sine, hypotenuse, tangent, cosine, cosecant, secant, reciprocals, inverse functions, trigonometric identities, and the law of sines. While these topics are typically taught in trigonometry classes, many students find it to be advantageous to work one-on-one with a trigonometry tutor as well.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in trigonometry, our tutors can assist you. Our professional tutors have advanced degrees or extensive training in trigonometry and can tutor and help in subject areas such as ratios, sine, hypotenuse, tangent, cosine, cosecant, secant, reciprocals, inverse functions, trigonometric identities, and the law of sines.
