About Fremont, CA
The city of Fremont, California is a relatively new city, compared to many other largely populated cities in the state. It was incorporated in 1956 and combined five smaller communities, Centerville, Irvington, Misson San Jose, Niles, and Warm Springs, in one urban community. Located in the southeastern area of the San Francisco Bay Area and bordered by the hills of the Diablo Mountain Range, Fremont has become a popular city for people moving out of San Francisco in search of more affordable real estate and housing. The city takes its name from founder John Charles Fremont, who was known as “the Great Pathfinder.”
Much of Fremont’s population boom was comprised of refugees from the former Soviet Union and Afghanistan in the 1980s and 90s. As a result, the city is surprisingly diverse, and includes large Asian, Indian, and Russian communities. The city also has the largest Afghan population of any city in the United States. The city is also unique for having a large population of deaf residents, due in large part to the location of the Northern California campus of the California School for the Deaf.
Due to its proximity to the Diablo Mountain Range, the city offers an excellent staging ground for avid hikers. The tallest peak of the Range, Mission Peak, is close by and a popular destination for hikers.
Some of the neighborhoods in the city of Fremont include: Centerville, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs, all of which were independent towns at one time. Surrounding towns and cities include: Newark, Union City, Hayward, Ashland, Castro Valley, San Leandro, Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, and Milpitas.

About Prioritizing Skills
The ability to effectively prioritize is an indispensable skill both in academia and in the business world. Because most jobs and schools require individuals to multi-task, one needs to have a strong grasp on how their workflow can be managed, prioritized, and controlled so that tasks can be accomplished effectively and on time. Although learning how to prioritize is a somewhat important skill set for elementary students to learn, the level of academics in high school is where many students begin to feel the pressure of having to prioritize their homework, studying, and test preparation. This is particularly true for the busy and often overachieving high school student who, in addition to taking challenging, college-preparatory classes, also engages in one or several extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, volunteering, or the arts. College-level students also must understand the importance of effectively prioritizing their work, since college courses tend to give fewer exams and term papers throughout a semester, making it critical that a student paces himself or herself effectively.
Because prioritizing is not a skill that is heavily concentrated on in the formative years of a student’s education, many students feel overwhelmed by the burden of schoolwork find it beneficial to work with a professional prioritizing tutor, who can assist them in ascertaining which tasks they should work on first. A tutor of this sort will be able to determine you or your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses, and thus create a schedule that will allow them to complete all of the work necessary to get good grades.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in Prioritizing, our tutors can assist you. Our professional tutors have advanced degrees or extensive training in Prioritizing Skills and can tutor and help in subject areas such as scheduling, organizing, filing, queuing, and studying.
