About Chicago, IL
When people think of great U.S. cities, New York and Los Angeles are typically the first two cities that come to mind. But between the continental expanses of these two cities, the Midwestern metropolis of Chicago stands as the true crossroads of America, linking the Northeast with the West. Known as “The Windy City,” Chicago is home to a great deal of cultural essential that define American culture: Blues music, great professional sports teams, amazing food, commercial and industrial savvy, and education. Regardless of wherever you reside, whether it be in one of the city’s four neighborhoods -- the Downtown, the North Side, the South Side, and the West Side -- or one of the outlying suburban towns, such as Joliet, Wheaton, Champaign, or Waukegan, you’ll most definitely feel the far-reaching influence that this great city possesses.
Among the many impressive features of this magnificent city, its reputation for providing the finest academic institutions and educational system is op particular note. Established in 1891, The University of Chicago is home to some of the most revered thinkers, researchers, writers, and professors in the world today. In addition, Chicago has the distinction of possessing the largest skyscraper in the world, the Sears Tower, which dwarfs all of the other towers and buildings within the Chicago skyline. Suburban towns like Oaklawn, Burbank, Naperville, Cicero, Addison, Park Ridge, Arlington Heights, and Evanston are all within easy reach of Chicago.

About Italian
The Italian language is one of the most popular and revered languages in the world. It is spoken as an official language in Italy, but is also widely spoken in Croatia, Switzerland, Malta, and Vatican City. The Italian language is closely associated with arts and culture in Europe, and was at one time one of the most widely spoken second languages. It was commonly used both in business and politics throughout Europe. Today, Europeans and Americans alike often wish to learn Italian so that they can enjoy the great works of Italian Literature and to be able to visit Italy and communicate with the locals, since Italy is a popular European tourist destination. Interestingly enough, Italian is the closest language to Latin, using most of the original Latin vocabulary. Being a Romance language, it is also closely related to other European languages, such as French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Because English and Italian are both Indo-European languages, there are many similarities that can be found between the two vocabularies: essentially, every English word that has its roots in Latin is similar to its Italian cognate. However, a student of Italian must learn vocabulary, grammar, syntax, pronunciation, word order, and expressions, all of which can be quite challenging. As a result, working with a one-on-one Italian tutor can be a great advantage for a student of Italian at any level.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in Italian, our tutors can assist you. Our professional tutors have advanced degrees or extensive training in Italian and can tutor and help in subject areas such as vocabulary, grammar, syntax, pronunciation, word order, and expressions. Instruction and homework help in Italian is offered in various cities and towns such as Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and others
