About Chandler, AZ
The beautiful suburban city of Chandler, Arizona is part of the Phoenix Metropolitan Statistical Area, bordering the city along with Tempe, Mesa, and Gilbert. Like these others cities around the city of Phoenix, Chandler has seen a significant population boom over the past 25 years, surging from 30,000 in 1980 to over 240,000 in 2007. While Chandler maintains a modest community in spite of its large population, comprised mainly of tract homes, the city sports a quaint, charming downtown area, complete with colourful southwestern architecture and palm trees. And, because the city borders the Gila River Indian Community, there is a decidedly Native American flair to the city’s identity as well.
The city of Chandler was founded in the early 1900s as an agrarian community, with cotton being the main crop staple, along with alfalfa and corn. In addition, the town was nationally famous for the luxurious Hotel San Marcos, which featured the first golf course in the state of Arizona. While the agricultural sector of the city’s economy has waned in recent years, the city has become one of the nation’s capitals for ostrich farming, and even hosts an annual ostrich festival.
Although Chandler is a largely a working-class community lacking in an official commercial district, the economy of the city has benefited in recent years from Intel’s opening of four facilities within the city limits. Orbital Sciences Corporation also has an office in the city, giving it a newfound identity as a center for technological manufacturing.
Some of the towns and cities that surround Chandler are: Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Gilbert, Sun Lakes, Apache Junction, Tortilla Flat, Olberg, Casa Blanca, Goldfield, and Paradise Valley.

About Trigonometry
The subject of trigonometry is one of the fundamental study fields within the subject of mathematics. Many high schools begin teaching trigonometry at the high school level, however college-level trigonometry is also usually offered at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe. Trigonometry is the branch of mathematics that deals specifically with the sides and angles of triangles and with trigonometric functions, which describe the relationship between these aspects of triangles. While trigonometry is considered to be a part of “pure mathematics,” which is comprised of abstract and theoretical mathematical disciplines, trigonometry is also an applied science as well. Although the subject deals exclusively with triangles, the use of triangles in engineering, measuring, navigation, astronomy, and other quantitative applications is quite pervasive. In addition, trigonometry is closely related to calculus, and many students choose to study it at the college level prior to entering calculus.
Some of the specific areas of trigonometry that are typically taught include: ratios, sine, hypotenuse, tangent, cosine, cosecant, secant, reciprocals, inverse functions, trigonometric identities, and the law of sines. While these topics are typically taught in trigonometry classes, many students find it to be advantageous to work one-on-one with a trigonometry tutor as well.
Whether you are a young child, a teenager, a university student, or a professional adult and are seeking help in trigonometry, our tutors can assist you.
