I am a chemistry major with a master's degree. I have been a teaching assistant for five years. I've tutored high school students in statistics, algebra, geometry and calculus, and college students in calculus and general and organic chemistry. I believe that any motivated student can succeed. Sometimes, students can pinpoint specific areas of difficulty. But sometimes, students can be very confused that they cannot specify their difficulties. In that case, I can break down topics or word problems into simple segments and track specific parts of the understanding or problem solving process a student has difficulty with, and help improve the student from there. I have helped slow learners before and I am very patient with them. I will guide students with their schoolwork, but I will not spoonfeed them. I take pride when I help a student understand the study material. We can meet at a public venue or your home.
