I find it greatly rewarding to help a student overcome a difficulty or to grasp a concept. Whether it's math or physics (my specialties) or science or history, the real reward is when that light goes on in the student's mind showing me they have finally understood something they have been struggling with.

I am a college-degreed engineer who has worked in the civil and geology field. After coaching my son's sports teams, I gradually realized my love for seeing kids develop and came to discover the joy of teaching. People who know me and whose children I've taught or coached would say I'm patient, understanding, fun, and have a good sense of humor. In addition to having passed the Lexis Nexis background check and holding the AZDPS Fingerprint Card I have tons of references who are happy to talk to you about me.

My teaching experience includes teaching at the grade school level and coaching kids in many sports.

I like to establish a relaxed environment and personal comfort level for the student by keeping the interaction casual and fun. My personal service to you includes being available during waking hours for any questions (via email or phone) and if possible spending extra time before or after a session should the lesson warrant, both at no charge.
