My name is Michael DePauw, and I have been a teacher and a tutor for about 10 years. I currently live in Euless, TX with my lovely wife Laurie. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the prestigious University of Dallas (not UTD) in Irving, TX. I have taught in public and private school and currently work for Tarrant County College. I find that each student learns differently. As such, I study how each student approaches learning and attempt to adapt my tutoring to the student's natural learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.). Tutoring is not simply about knowing your subject, but requires effectively communicating what you know to your student. I have taught at a project-based school and am familiar with a variety of teaching methods, but ultimately it all comes back to the student. How does MY STUDENT best learn and understand? I seek to find that out first and build my students' abilities from there.
