Chikako Horii who was a professional singer in Japan with the successful all-girl rock band, "TWIGGY" which recorded and released five CDs on Universal Records. She toured Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and U.S.A. and also performed and hosted for various TV and radio music programs.
At that time she coached other singers and became interested in the field of music therapy. When her band disbanded she moved to California to pursue this as a career. She earned her degree at California State University, Northridge and became a board certified Music Therapist. Meanwhile she is still a recording artist and sang on a 2 million-sales album theme song for "Good Charlotte"(Epic Records) and also sings in her current band, Radical Blood Orange.”

Chikako’s entire life is music - starting with singing at age 3, piano at age 4, guitar at age 8, and finally drums at 10. She has taught piano, guitar, voice and drums and practiced music therapy for over 8 years in Los Angeles. Currently, she has studios in Santa Monica and Venice and also sometimes travels to the client if requested.
She fervently believes in the power of music and has developed powerful techniques to motivate and inspire her students and clients.
