As an undergraduate I had the fortunate experience to work in an after-school program for at-risk youth as a tutor and mentor. At the time of my graduation I seriously considered becoming an educator and applied for a couple of new teacher programs such as Teach for America and the Baltimore City Teaching Residency. Although I did not pursue that career path any further, I remain dedicated to education and mentoring. I have worked part-time for a program that administers Supplemental Educational Services in New York City as well as holding a position as a Saturday School teacher at an Achievement First Charter School in Brooklyn.
