I am currently a student at Boston College majoring in mathematics and have tutored fellow college students in different subjects. My approach to tutoring is practice makes better and real learned comes not just from listening, but from doing, so I devise practice problems (especially when dealing with math and science issues) that suite the needs of the individual student. This way, the student can gain confidence in the subject area through actually solving the problems by his or herself. I am very encouraging and understanding of different issues students may face, especially since I've dealt with my own learning disabilities, I can relate to others having difficulty grasping the material.
