I am an energetic, young, and patient educator with a passion for languages and learning in general. I have been teaching guitar (classical, electric, and acoustic covering a wide range of styles) throughout my college and graduate careers, as well as music theory, harmony, and composition in individual and group settings. I have a master's degree in music composition from Mills College, receiving the Margaret Lyon prize for outstanding music student.

During my master's, I worked as a Spanish tutor, for which I received the award for best college-wide peer tutor of the Spring semester of 2011. I also worked as an English teacher (and private tutoring on the side) in Spain and Portugal from September 2011, to December of 2012. Due to my affinity and natural pre-disposition for languages, I am conversationally competent in German, fluent in Portuguese, and capable of teaching it.

I am always friendly and charismatic, highly patient, and always keep my students' interests in mind. I believe that everyone has different goals and different approaches to learning, so I make personalized lesson plans for each student adapt my teaching style to make the sessions as efficient and enriching as possible.
