Teaching Philosophy: Science and math are extraordinarily difficult academic subjects in that they require a combination of adequate content mastery, effective study strategy, and good testing abilities. As a tutor, I will combine my teaching experience with my knowledge of course material and my familiarity with testing practices. As a result, my students will not only learn the information they need to know, but they will also know how to study in a way that would prepare them for even the most difficult exam questions. In each lesson, I will begin by answering questions about content matter, and then I will ask questions to reinforce the concepts. Most importantly, however, I will work with the student to create a detailed study plan, for understanding relevant content is moot if the student is not prepared for the exam itself. I am available to tutor most college-level biology courses, as well as introductory chemistry and physics courses. I am prepared to teach all major high school science courses and various math courses. Having taken the MCAT and scored in the 98th percentile, I will be happy to work with students preparing for that test.

For individuals working on essays, resumes, cover letters, lab reports, or any other form of writing, my experience as an Academic Writing teaching assistant qualifies me to help with all stages of the writing process. This includes anything from outlining to polishing. If desired, I will be happy to edit online as well.
