EXPERIENCE IN GENERAL

I have been teaching and tutoring in multiple subjects to all grade levels. As I have tremendous experience working with children, I bring this expertise to the kids I work with. My first teaching experience began when I started teaching English at a middle school. Besides this I have attended many trainings and seminars. At present I am working as a substitute teacher and teacher’s assistant here in Sacramento. Maths and English has been my best subjects but I am also good at science. I like tutoring because it is mostly one to one or a small group to work with . This is good for both the tutor and the student, as it gives a lots of time and confident to the students to learn.

MY APPROACH TO TUTORING

I make the subjects more relevant, interesting and understandable to the students. I try different ways of introducing and reinforcing the information until the students could understand it properly. In tutoring the student should understand how to apply the rules to solve a problem. First of all I try to find the weakness in the students and I fulfill the weakness by tutoring. I try to show some examples to the students and after that I do few problems with them and finally I ask them to do on their own and I remain as a resource to them. After a long day in school ,the students need a nurturing and caring persons to work with. They also need a peace and calm environment to learn in.
