I am a high school Chemistry and Biology teacher with nearly twenty years of teaching in academic classrooms. When not teaching in high schools or middle schools, my career took me into the field of corporate training, primarily in computer software. I have traveled to college campuses all over the United States and into Canada, and taught medical librarians and college students all over the country.

I have frequently held after school tutuoring sessions with my high school and middle school students, and have found them to be extremely successful for the students who attended. The students' confidence in the subject matter increased significantly, and their quiz and test scores rose dramatically.

In terms of teaching style, I am a very creative and enthusiastic educator. I believe that relating difficult scientific concepts to real world experiences can be very helpful. Hands-on lab experiments have always provided valuable additions to text-based learning. In a tutoring session, I have created some portable hands-on activities that can enhance learning in the same manner.
