Catherine graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biology. She was awarded a College of Science Leadership Scholarship and the Senior Biology Award. She loves biology so much that she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. Because of her enthusiasm for science, she tutors math, science, and standardized tests to junior high, high school, and college students. Catherine has experience tutoring Biology, SAT and ACT prep, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry/PreCalculus, Statistics, and SOL Chemistry.

What makes Catherine such a great tutor? Catherine finds great satisfaction from “uncomplicating” concepts that students find daunting. She understands that sometimes students just don’t get it. She also knows the feeling of struggling with seemingly foreign concepts. As a child, she struggled with learning the English language, and she encountered the overwhelming feelings that can deter students from learning. Because of this, she strives to create a positive and comfortable environment that makes students want to overcome any learning obstacles they might encounter.
